CRM & Human Factors-Training
Your effective building block for risk management and threat and error management (TEM)
It is not the individual person who makes a system secure, but the team!
This is the aim of our CRM and human factors training courses. We bring the members of the team - whether from aviation, medicine, companies or organizations - together emotionally. With our training courses, we sharpen each individual's understanding of the human factor, improve team communication, error management and decision-making.
The cooperation between all parties involved is positively strengthened in order to minimize the weaknesses and mistakes of the people involved, while at the same time promoting their strengths and thus preventing the occurrence of risks.
Our concept closes the gap between pure technical expertise, established procedures and processes to ensure improved flight, patient and company safety.
We also offer these training courses in cooperation with our partner.
Facts from the aviation sector
Facts from the field of medicine
According to estimates from numerous studies, the human factor accounts for 70-80% of all errors in the treatment process, resulting in complications and adverse events that lead to patient injury or even death.
Medical errors are among the 10 most common causes of death worldwide.
Studies show that incidents are often not due to a lack of "technical skills", i.e. an actual lack of ability (or knowledge), but that errors occur as a chain of several causes and that there is usually a lack of "soft skills" such as communication and organization.
CRM originated from a NASA workshop in 1979, which aimed to improve flight safety. NASA's investigations revealed that the main reason for serious flight accidents was human error and that the main problems were communication on board, conflicts of competence within the crew and, in some cases, the pilots' poor decision-making.
Efficient communication, flat hierarchies, situational awareness and fast decision-making have reduced flight accidents by 80% since the introduction of the CRM approach.
The Crew Resource Management concept is now a global standard in the training of flight personnel.
