The Darmstadt Municipal Prevention Council was founded in 1992 on behalf of the City of Science Darmstadt and the South Hesse Police Headquarters in order to achieve a good balance between safety and social policy.

Mr. Volker Weyel was head of the KPRd until 2023 and organizer and speaker of all prevention conferences, Mr. Georg Berg was an active management member until 2023 and responsible for the rescue service.
